Inkurable Stampers- Paint
Hello all!
I have my Inkurable Stampers' March entry to show you!
This card was really simple to make: I stamped and embossed the large flower stamp, splotched on various colours of paint, stamped smaller flowers and sentiment, then added some twine to finish it off!
The flowers were from a Kaisercraft set and the sentiment is from Darkroom Doors "all occasions" stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by!

Scrap-Creations: Anything goes!
Over at Scrap Creations they are running an anything goes challenge (yes, this means that you can enter any type of card for a chance to win a $3o gift voucher to Stampotique!).
I have chosen to do a bright tri shutter card (using this tutorial from Splitcoast stampers) made from kraft cardstock and papers from October Afternoon's Modern Homemaker (and the yellow from the thrift shop collection). I love october afternoon papers and I think they look great with kraft!
These cards are fun to make because you get so much enjoyment out of opening and closing it every step of the way :P
I used these embellishments:
- flowers
- felt flowers
- buttons
- twine
- chipboard
- stamps (happy birthday from the "all occasions" stamp set by darkroom door and flourish stamps from basic grey and paperartsy)
Ciao!

Inkurable Stampers- Bookmarks
Hey Everyone!
I was very happy with the theme for this month at Inkurable Stampers! You can make any type of bookmark you want so long as you use one stamp!
I made a set of two "puzzle piece" bookmarks for my dad for this challenge. Other then a load of measuring, I stamped ,punched and stitched to make the bookmarks.I used papers from the wanted collection by Cosmo Cricket along with matching cardstock. The stamps were from a few different stamp sets, but the hand is by Cherry pie art stamps and the words are mostly from tim holtz and kaisercraft sets.
These bookmarks are to replace ones made by my brother and I when we were toddlers :)

Masquerade mask- Finally done!
Yay!
You may remember about a month ago I mentioned making a mask? Well here it is!
I used:
- papier mache
- sandpaper
- black paint
- modge podge
- tombo glue
- glitter
- silver cording
- 3 ostrich feathers
- 3 small white feathers
- a gold button ;) (alcohol inked silver)
- rhinestones
- dimensional magic
- hot glue gun
To make it, I started by making a base of papier mache. This was done by doing several layers on a volunteers face :) taking it off to dry, then cutting it to the correct shape and doing more layers. After it was dry, I sanded it so it was nice and smooth. Then it was painted black and modge-podged to make it shiny.
Add some decoration, and taa-daaa!
Do you like it?

CPS Card Sketches- # 203
Guess what I have to share?
A yellow valentines card! Yes, yellow! Yellow was all that could take up my head when I was thinking of a card to make for this sketch challenge by CPS Card Sketches:
Using this lovely paper from October Afternoon Thrift Shop- Still in a box,
I created this card:
I used the heart from the stampotique welcome door woodblock stamp to make the rim of hearts around the center of the flower and above the black lace. The yellow flowers are a Tim holtz die.
That's all for now!

Some Sketches
Helllooo!
I went and searched through my current and last sketchbook for the best designs. Here are the ones I have chosen(apologies i had to scan, tried to make them look as good as i could in photoshop) :
(click for larger image)
The dress in the middle of the bottom row is a masquerade ball costume, which I drew after designing the masquerade mask that I am currently making for school. I will show you the mask when its finished.
Making this mask all started when I saw a black and silver masquerade mask on holidays. I loved it and was reminded that I had to make a mask for art this year. So, after we were back I remembered and set about drawing and looking up anything to do with a masquerade ball. At some point I searched youtube and came across this scene from the phantom the opera (2004). I highly recommend that you watch it! The singing, dancing not to mention the costumes are astounding!
That's all from me for now!

Lets Get Shabby- Weddings
Hello all!
The Let's get Shabby, criteria for this month is weddings (anything to do with them, e.g bride/groom, flowers, church, flower girls, bridesmaids, dress and etc. I did love). You probably don't know that I actually ADORE all things wedding! I follow three wedding blogs, borrow all the wedding magazines from the library, and I aspire to become a wedding planner :D
This is what I came up with:
Oh, and I found this illustration I did a while back of a little beach hut :)
Hope you like it!
