The Floods:arty and crafty stuff

Hey Everyone!

Ok this is two more creative things I did for The Floods book.

First is 4 different types of spooky cup-cakes:
(in clockwise order from top left:blood-bomb cakes, hairy cakes, rat tail cakes and mouse ear, crystallised cockroach wings in slime cakes)

I wrote about each in my english book than interpreted what I said for the decorations(eg.the blood-bombs are coloured red -inside and out- and have a lump of jam in the middle)

Next one first needs a bit of explaining. In the flood book #1, the floods had to get rid of their really annoying neighbours, the Dents. Most of them they turned into useful things like fridges and TVs. Today I had to do a quick sketch of each of the Dents then draw what they had become. Next I had to choose one of them and draw it on my wacom. I chose Rambo, the dog, who was black and large and got changed into a sweet little poodle and given to the nice neighbours on the other side of the Floods.

You will probably need to click on that one to see the dogs better.

The Floods:arty and crafty stuff

Hey all!

First I better explain about The Floods books(#1 is my english text at the moment). The Floods is a family of wizards and witches. It is a really-funny-but-a-bit-gross book. Here is the link to the floods part on the authors website: http://www.colinthompson.com/floods/index.htm

So anyway, one of the things I got to do was decorate a bit of the house spooky. I made spiders and things out of pompoms, goggle eyes, hot glue and other things like that. The gate (pic. #3) is a gate that the floods made to try and deter people from entering. I made my replica mostly out of cardboard and paint.

New Design

Hey everyone!
Thanks for all your opinions, I decided on vector flower. I didn't quite like the way on Opt. 1 how the gadgets were the in a column the same size as the posts. I still might change the design again later, but I will stick with this one for a while.

I will work on trying to get something uploaded(a creation).

6th of the 6th

Here's a bit of fun. Never done one of these before but I can do different. My cousin Naomi His Little Rocker, at tagged me to select the 6th picture in my 6th photo folder and give an insightful, creative and delightfully entertaining description of story behind the photo.

Well our folders have lots of subfolders, so I did the 6th main folder(2008), then the 6th subfolder(July) then the next subfolder(which was dates but we only had taken photos on one day of july so it was the twelfth) and then it was the 6th photo. What a great one!

One Saturday Mum and Dad were planning to take us to the PowerHouse museum in Sydney. We didn't know what we were going to do that day until Jacob said, "How about we go to the powerhouse museum?!". Then mum and dad said,"Well we actually were going to take you there today anyway..." It was so funny and we all laughed and laughed and laughed.

We went into Newcastle and caught the train into sydney because it was the time the pope came-it was like national youth week or something like that- and it was quicker to go by train than car.

The photo is of one of things that they had in the museum. When you touched the glasse a blue bolt would go to were you were touching. Dad made us put our noses up against it and he took a photo of us. I think it was very lucky for me to get this photo for the 6th of the 6th!

p.s.I don't really know who else to tag because everyone I know who has blogs have already been tagged!
